Care Teams!

CARE TEAMS NEEDED for a
DRUMMER BOY OFFERING
(This was sent out over Christmas but a number of people have asked or not understood, so am sending a repeat announcement.)
We are asking for practical help in your particular gifting area.

There are a number of people at FOC who are going through crisis situations and need our care and concern and practical help. We are in the process of forming THREE Care Teams that will function for some months to assist them. Teams mean that no one person will or can do everything. We will work together. So, what does that have to do with the Little Drummer Boy? Simply put, he did not have an expensive gift to bring to the newborn baby Jesus. But what he had, he gave; his ability to play the drum. And Jesus smiled!

So what gift do you have to give to baby Jesus that might make Him smile? We have needs for:
 Financial Counseling
 Working creatively with a limited income
 Listening ears, being a friend
 Working through the “system” to get insurance and food stamps
 Post surgery assistance
 Lots and lots of prayer
 Get a little boy on a bus in the morning so his mom can keep her job

Ask Him if He wants you to be a part of these teams. Contact Papy Papy.FOC@gmail.com or Pat Smeallie 854-7858 or pat37@nc.rr.com (by January 20 if possible) if you want to give and receive a blessing..We will be having a brain storming meeting to talk about how these Care Teams on Tuesday, January 19, 7 PM in the New classroom in the annex. Plan to attend if you wish to find out more or give input.

I have no gift to bring, that's fit to give the King, I played my drum for Him, I played mybest for Him, Then He smiled at me, me and my drum.
