Clouds Gathering
This is a word that Carol Ellis gave the church in the early service in January of 2010.
I saw clouds gathering. These clouds were very large, full of volume as to what they held, and moving in from east to west with quickness. I knew these clouds were full of snow. They were threatening, but looking at them, I knew it was nothing to fear. At the same pace and purpose I saw people gathering and coming to this place. I saw the gathering of people and the gathering of the clouds directly corresponding.
As the people were gathered, it was like seed finding its place in the soil. They were gathering with a very active movement. I knew the soil was rich and it was good and it was ready. I knew that the soil was made up of teaching, nurturing, protecting, discipline, many ingredients that this church has. It was good. It was active.
As the clouds were ready to release their fill, I knew that the gathering that was taking place in the soil was prepared for the snowfall. I knew that while it initially had the hope and promise of a beautiful snowfall, it also carried with it a hardship of being under the snow. I knew it was an ordained snow and it was for the purposes of what God was doing. It may not seem like it but it was for God’s purpose.
I then saw the underlying work that was going on under the snow. It was a marvelous thing to see. The soil was healthy and the nourishment was enough for this time. I knew that with the seemingly hardship of being covered over, it was going to produce a very welcomed new growth and new birth. I knew that even if the outward appearance of growth was not there that the internal work underneath was quite healthy and protected.
It seemed to me that the purpose of this vision was hope. I felt as if the coldness and snow was more of a threat because of perceptions. It was actually a work or demonstration of the Lord at work in the midst of no outward appearance of growth. I saw hardship to many but only to perfect the underneath and inward growth of what God has sown.
I was affected while seeing this so that I began to shake. The actual picture of the vision didn’t alarm me. It was beautiful. The meaning of it made me want to pray for us to understand what God was doing.
Proverbs 31 says, “She is not afraid of the snow for all her household are clothed with scarlet.”
***Carol’s note: In the past, God has used snow to speak to me about being covered over so that He can take care of His own enemies that are afflicting His people. I have seen Him do miraculous things with snow to speak to me of how He takes things into His own hands to bring deliverance to His people.
