Pastor & Elders Missing at FOC

Greetings Fellowshippers! Papy here (Pastor Greg for some:)

Just in case you don't know, y'all sent your pastors and some of the elders to Denver this week for participation in our denominational meeting of all EPC churches. This annual meeting (of the EPC General Assembly) is held in various locations in the continental US and helps organize the efforts and forward momentum of our expression of bringing the Kingdom of God. A portion of the work of General Assembly is doing the business of the denomination and the participation in the ordination of Teaching Elders (Pastors) into the denomination.

We are also listening, learning, sharing, and experiencing many thoughts, concerns and ideas brought by a variety of speakers, participants and guests. Thanks for sending us!

Over the next few days, I or one of the other FOC commissioners, will bring you a taste of the "GA" (General Assembly). Stay tuned - check back often.

Hi GA folks,

I love this opportunity to see what is happening at the national level. Great idea to post blogs. I just wish I could get an alert letting me know when things are posted. I found this one accidentally today while looking for something else. I know - I want everything catered! Now that I do know it is here, I will stay tuned. It might be a good opportunity to remind the church about the website and its many offerings by sending out a notification that you all are blogging about the GA trip. Could Josh do that?

Praying for an increase of the JOY of seeking God and His Kingdom and relating to one another in brotherly/sisterly love.

Being Missional ...

Just a quick heads up ... Gary will be writing the next BLOG from GA (General Assembly of the EPC). He will be passing along some reflection of the speaker that we have been listening to all morning and afternoon. I thnk some of you will be very encouraged (especially you in my Common Ground class this past trimenster in the School of Equipping) and some might be challenged as we (FOC) consider how Father wants us to readjust our thinking to BE the Kingdom of God.
