What is Jesus in the Qur’an?

Jesus in the Qur’an is, in some ways, an entirely new paradigm and, in other ways, an ancient one dating back to the days of Jesus.

During our JIQ weekend, MAY 14-15 (Friday night and Saturday), we aim to introduce attendees to the basics of Islam, delve into the Bible and the Qur’an to see what they are really trying to say, and learn to speak peacefully and effectively about Jesus and the Kingdom with our Muslim friends.

At Fellowship of Christ, we have an intense desire to see peace blossom between Christians and Muslims, between Believers in Jesus and those who are not yet believers, and we believe that the only place where that truly happens is in the Kingdom of God.

With our Muslim friends, we can begin with friendships, continue by studying the Bible and the Qur’an together, and finally move toward an answer to the all-important question: “Who is Jesus and what does He have to do with entering the Kingdom of God?”

For 1400 years, however, deep misunderstanding has marked this interaction.  Sadly, a great deal of Christianity’s efforts to begin the conversation has caused more division than peace.  But we aim to radically transform the conversation.  We believe we must relearn to speak so that both Muslims and Christians (and all seekers of the Truth) can truly understand each other.  What was Jesus’ way of sharing his message?  What were Paul’s methods? As we look into the history we can find our present conversations transformed!

Join us for this mind renewing weekend – May 14-15, 2010. For more information, click the JIQ link below and began a discovery again of the message of the Gospel – the Good News to all people.
